How do I place an order with S2Media?

How soon will my order ship?

Unless otherwise requested, stock items will ship within 1-day of order receipt, Monday through Thursday. If the item is not in stock, lead time is 5-10 business days. You will be notified of product availability and options if there is an issue.

Is media considered temperature sensitive?

Yes, which is why we have shipping restrictions. Unless other arrangements are made, we will only allow product to be in transit for 2 days (max). We will ship product for overnight delivery on Thursdays. If 2-day shipping is requested, product will not ship until Monday.

How late are orders received?

We can process orders for same-day shipment (Monday-Thursday) until 3:00 pm PST. If you have an immediate need, please call us at (509) 919-3714.

What is the lead time for a custom order?

2-3 weeks, depending on the nature of the product and order requirements. Expedite orders are available. Please contact us for more information.

Do you ship product on-test?

This is not a routine process. Contact us if you have an expedite need.

What is the fill volume for a standard plate?

Our standard fill volume is 20mL. Products with a deep fills (i.e. – 25mL) indicate so in the product information. If you have other requirements, please contact us directly.

What is the average batch size available?

The average batch is ~1600 plates.

What is included in QC release testing for media?

Sterility, pH, gel height, gel firmness, appearance, and growth promotion testing is typically conducted on each batch of media manufactured. Organisms utilized have been selected to be compliant with the M22-A3 standard from CLSI, pharmacopoeia, and/or client needs.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Yes, our minimum order quantity for stock items is 10 plates (or 1 pack). For custom items, this quantity may increase and will be included on the quote.

There was not a Certificate of Analysis (COA) in my shipment. How do I get one?

All CoA are available for download under “Documents” on our website. The batch number is required to search for CoA. You can also email a request for batch specific CoA to info@s2cm.com.

Do you offer bulk pricing?

What is the difference between a 90mm plate and a 100mm plate?

Nothing – they are common measurements for the same plate. One measurement is taken at the base (90mm) and one measurement is taken at the lid (100mm).
